    What will my job really be?

    The Human Resource Development Program (HRDP) offers offers you the unique opporutunity to accelerate your career development, business knowledge, and leadership skills through three 12-month long rigourous business rotations within the HR function. In each rotation you will be challenged to develop your skills and further build your business foundation through engaging in various parts of the business, interacting with management, and developing innovative solutions to real business challenges. This rotational program is designed to accelerate the team member's development by exposing them to Polaris' businesses through a variety of critical assignments and targeted learning in Human Resources.

    What to expect during the program:

    • Each assignment provides challenging developmental opportunities that will enhance your leadership skills and augment your human resource capabilities.
    • As an HRDP member will have the opportunity to experience a range of HR roles such as creating and improving HR processes, organizing and aligning resources to achieve business objectives, and providing HR support by partnering with leaders to link human resources to business strategies and results.
    • In this role, you will be challenged to work closely with other functions to integrate human resource activity, while maintaining a positive work environment and high employee engagement.
    • Within each rotation you will have the chance to facilitate change, lead initiatives, and manage projects.

    You will have an individualized development plan of three 12-month long rotations in Human Resources. These rotations are designed to help build a solid and well-rounded business background, focused in Human Resouces and can be in any of the areas listed below:

    • Corporate HR Generalist: Business partners include engineering, sales/marketing, finance, information systems, business development, international and product groups such as motorcycles, off-road products, global adjacent markets, finance,
    • Operations HR Generalist: Manufacturing locations include Roseau, MN; Spirit Lake, IA; Osceola, WI; Huntsville, AL
    • Corporate Center of Excellence: HR COE’s include Organizational Development, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards (compensation and benefits)

  • Qualifications

    Checklist for success:

    • Completing at least a Bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Human Resources or other related area (Minimum overall GPA: 3.0)
    • Proven strength in analysis and creative problem solving, communication, interpersonal relationships, self-motivation, agility and leadership
    • The drive to actively contribute to both personal and company-wide goals through creative and innovative thinking.
    • Previous successful internship/co-op experience or part-time work in a Human Resources discipline.
    • U.S. work authorization, no work visa or residency sponsorship available for this job opening.
    • Geographic mobility
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)

    Locations Vary (locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Alabama)
