THE ADVENTURE

The HR and Communications Internship for the plant offers those with a passion for manufacturing to grow their experience in human resources. This position provides the opportunity to develop communication skills, business acumen, and HR aptitude while building a career with unlimited potential.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN & DO

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Writing and editing of internal communications to include: Letters, PowerPoint presentations, digital and printed newsletters, posters/flyers, electronic bulletin boards, and mobile device apps
• Assist in managing both electronic and hard copy HR documents, files, and records
• Participate in and help coordinate employee activities, meetings and special events
• Provide support in recruiting, hiring, training and other HR projects, tasks, and initiatives
• Oversee ordering of office supplies and miscellaneous items for staff
• Coordinate and provide management services support for Plant Manager and Leadership Team.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

QUALIFICATION / REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a student currently enrolled in a college or university in a Master's program
• Must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA
• Must graduate December 2021 or later
• Strong working capability with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work flexible hours; working a minimum of 30 hours/week; school schedule dependent
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion while maintaining a high level of professionalism and strict confidentiality.

Most positions are located in Louisville, KY (our Corporate HQ). Assignments are also available in Camden, SC; Decatur, AL; LaFayette, GA; Selmer, TN. Housing and relocation assistance is available for eligible students.
