    Job Information

    The Hydraulics Design Engineer will develop hydraulic systems that are world-class in overall quality, reliability, durability, features, performance, and efficiency.

    Role & Responsibility

    Hydraulic System Development

    • Identify emerging technologies, trends, and new products in mobile hydraulics
    • Lead research and development projects to investigate the feasibility of emerging technologies on Bobcat equipment
    • Influence product design by providing subject matter expertise to New Product Development teams
    • Identify product requirements related to hydraulic systems by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders from product management, service, operations, marketing, sales, etc.
    • Deconstruct stakeholder product requirements into verifiable technical requirements for the hydraulic system and components
    • Develop system and component solutions by collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders
    • Recommend system and component solutions to engineering leadership and cross-functional teams
    • Perform system sizing and design calculations. Specify components to meet system requirements
    • Develop analysis and validation plans that ensure product, system, and component requirements are met
    • Direct analysis and verification testing
    • Identify hydraulic system and component issues, develop solutions, and ensure resolution

    Job Requirement

    • Bachelor's Degree - Mechanical Engineering or similar
    • Excellent engineering analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
    • Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills
    • Ability to lead technical projects and small technical project teams
    • Previous experience with hydraulic systems and components preferred
    • Previous off-road equipment design experience preferred
    • Travel: up to 10%
