    Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional International Transportation Analyst to join our TEAM!

    Primary Objective

    International Transportation Analyst is responsible for providing analytical insights to overall International Transportation function. Analytic includes, but not limit to, cost trends, competitive market pricing comparison, minimizing unnecessary costs such as detention and demurrage, and cost savings opportunities. This role provides key monitoring function on carrier performance and capacity commitment for our origin countries, while understanding service level agreements and key performance indicators.

    Major Function and Scope

    • Evaluate transportation processes and systems to identify inefficiencies or opportunities for improvement.

    • Establish relationships and interact with team members, internal/external shipping locations, forwarders, ocean shipping lines, OTR providers, and transload facilities to ensure goods and materials are delivered at an optimized cost.

    • Support and collaborate with internal customers and stakeholders such as Customs team, Supply Chain Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, R&D, and Engineering for cross-department collaborations.

    • Provide support to monitor ocean shipping line contracts and freight forwarder rates, while continuously ensuring that the ocean capacity reflects the needs of the business.

    • Provide freight quotes and ad hoc logistics scenario planning upon request.

    • Conduct logistical studies and data analysis evaluations to utilize in recommending strategies and tactics for continuous improvement and cost savings.

    • Analyze international transportation performance and spend data and complete root cause analysis to identify anomalies/exceptions and lead corrective actions and improvement opportunities within the team.

    • Support data research and projection needs for annual ocean carrier RFP process.

    • Must be able to communicate effectively with a variety of people, internally and externally.

    • Performs other related duties as required.

    Experience and Knowledge Required

    • College or degree required.

    • Five (5) or more years transportation/distribution experience.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications and have aptitude to learn technical applications quickly.

    • Practical knowledge of SAP strongly desired

    • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and drive for results within operation.

    • Ability to work under pressure with high sense of urgency and manage multiple priorities with confidence.

    • Strong analytical capability and excellent written and oral communication skills.

    • Ability to formulate and implement action plans.

    • Must have a positive attitude and be eager to work and learn.
