JOB DESCRIPTION:

The GAF IT team is seeking a highly motivated, energetic and professional candidate to assist the IT Financial Analyst within the IT Department. The ideal candidate for this role is majoring in Accounting, Finance or related field.This individual will assist with various items in support of IT Finance at GAF including:

• Lead in the creation of the following years budget templates for the department

• Lead in the execution of the IT Charity Event

• Assist in the monthly reconciliation of IT Expense accounts

• Assist with the identification of expense items that need to be re-classed to proper accounts and create monthly journal entries

• Assist with the coding and processing of IT invoices

• Assist with the reporting of actual vs. planned spending (including projects)

• Participate in process improvement efforts

• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Excellent communication skills are all necessary as is the ability to operate in a team. The successful candidate must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and an anticipated graduation date between December 2023 and May 2025.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States, without visa sponsorship.

All GAF internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however, there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 37.5 hours per week over the summer. We are targeting currently enrolled college students who will be staying in the NJ/NY metro area for the duration of the internship and be able to commute to our World Headquarters in Parsippany, NJ. Housing, transportation, F-1 and HB-1 visa sponsorship will not be provided in association with these positions.
