Project Operations Specialist Education, Community and Social Programs Justice and Community Development Fairfax, VA nbsp; Job Description ICF seeks a professional with experience working on victim service assistance issues in American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities. You must demonstrate a knowledge of national trends and initiatives, cultural sensitivity, effective program and project implementation, and current research on evidence-based practices and programs.nbsp; This opportunity will allow you to support the Department of Justices, Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) in their continued commitment to provide relevant resource and tools to the AI/AN communities. Specifically, you willnbsp;perform a range of analytical, writing, problem-solving and related work in support of training and technical assistance (TTA) activities. nbsp;TTA support includes responding to field requests for technical assistance, working with the team to develop resources and training materials, and evaluating curricula and training. 10-20% travel may be required annually. Key Responsibilities: * Responding to training and technical assistance requests to better respond to the needs of AI/AN communities * Performing analysis and evaluation of financial and grant management tools and resources used by AI/AN grantees * Supporting the Project Director and other team members in conducting needs assessments and evaluations of curricula and financial management training materials. * Working with the project team to develop plain language tools that grantees can use in implementing financial responsibilities to comply with the Federal statutes and regulations, such as, but not limited to the Department of Justice Financial Guide, and the OMBs Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements * Providing logistical and content support for trainings, conferences, focus groups and other meetings as needed * Supporting development and delivery of webinars as needed * Supporting data analysis and report writing * Performing other related duties as assignednbsp; You may be required to collaboration with a variety of client and project points of contact. You will plan and carry out concurrent activities that will ensure a timely and orderly provision of TTA, and must display decisiveness, diplomacy and sound judgment in resolving difficult problems in work assignments, which are often of a complex and sensitive nature. You must be able to multi-task, and display sensitivity to the confidential nature of federal client work and of the communications between ICF and clients. Project Specialists are considered key project personnel and must be approved by OVC. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Public Health, Criminal Justice, or related discipline with a minimum GPA of 3.0 * 3+ years professional experience * 3+ years previous work experience in the following areas: Working on victim assistance issues in AI/AN communities; Conducting Tamp;TA activities with demonstrated cultural sensitivity; Tailoring training materials to adult learning styles; * Ability to create and manage timelines, and collaborate with other teams to complete a project deliverable * Understanding of the pace and expectation of working in a client-service oriented environment and familiarity with government structure and government agencies * Proficiency with MS Office Applications: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel * Experience with design software (Adobe) Preferred Skills: * Strong proofreading skills with careful attention to detail * Knowledge of the general nature of the victim services and victims rights fieldnbsp; * Experience with remote and web based learning * Experience with meeting and conference logisticsnbsp;nbsp; * Experience analyzing quantitative and qualitative data Professional Skills: * Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing, demonstrated highly professional demeanor * Excellent verbal and interpersonal skillsnbsp; * Ability to work with various levels of internal staff, as well as clients, grantees, and vendors requirednbsp; * Ability to work autonomously and multi-task in a fast-paced environment * Ability to create and manage timelines and collaborate with the team to complete a project deliverable ICF offers an excellent benefits package, an award winning talent development program, and fosters a highly skilled, energized and empowered workforce.nbsp; ICF is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
