Our 12-week, global, summer program is filled with opportunities to innovate, collaborate, and invest in yourself.nbsp; Our interns work on relevant projects and programs, right alongside our engineers, scientists and corporate employees. It truly is an opportunity to learn, grow, and become a fully-integrated member of the Illumina community. Informatics is an increasingly important part of our Illumina product offerings. The software solutions for analysis and interpretation for rare, undiagnosed genetic disease research are incredibly complex and deeply technical. Because of this, internal training for sales, tech support, and professional services is both challenging and important to help on board our customers. The goals of this project would be to develop internal training and sales enablement materials in support of genetic disease software, and to plan and pilot a more formal training program. Responsibilities: Work with subject matter experts to map out training plan for Illumina software support for genetic disease testing. Materials should cover variant calling, QC, annotation, interpretation, reporting, and data aggregation features. Training materials will support internal employees such as sales specialists and informatics specialists to be successful in pre-sales efforts. Material should also be generated for post-sales guidance of customer on-boarding through account activation, custom content upload, and API integration. Candidate will create drafts of training for review, update training based on feedback, and potentially pilot training internally. Success will be measured by the quality of the materials and process generated and through a survey of effectiveness to the trainees. Qualifications: * Must be rising junior/senior in a Bachelors program, with a minimum 3.2 GPA * Must have strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. * Degree in Bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, genetic counselor, or related background * MBA training a plus * Must have completed coursework or experience in genomics, preferably rare genetic disease interpretation This role is located in San Diego, CA.nbsp; Candidates can apply to intern roles through October 31st, at which time they will be removed from posting.nbsp; Please save the job description for all roles to which you applied, in order to reference once the postings are removed.
