Responsibilities: The Global Sustainability Intern will be responsible for supporting and executing activities related to the new Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Sustainability program.nbsp; The intern will : * Help create the methodology for life cycle assessments (LCA) of selected products for energy, water, and waste impact.nbsp; * Complete life cycle assessments for representative product lines.nbsp; The LCA tasks will help identify opportunities for improvement in the reduction of product footprint.nbsp; * Research relevant green design options and design for environment requirements as potential inclusion in future product design guidance documents.nbsp; * The intern will also support the Grass Roots Sustainability Team including energy and waste subcommittee activities.nbsp; Intern would work closely with procurement, product development, engineering, finance, and various internal functional groups.nbsp; * The Sustainability Intern would support other related projects associated with the program development of the 5 CSR pillars at Illumina * This individual will drive sustainability improvements throughout all Illumina operations, as part of a highly innovative and collaborative business model. Qualifications/Skills/Education: * Current Student pursuing a Master's degree (Bachelors Degree Required) * Experience with LCA and footprint models * Strong proficiency in excel * Strong writing skills and analytical skills * Ability to work across multiple functions * Environmental/sustainability studies * Proven interest for sustainability, with a demonstrated experience in sustainability/environmental projects * Energetic and positive enthusiasm disposition. * Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills * Ability to prioritize and execute work among competing priorities.
