This position supports best-in-class Design Transfer Excellence by driving transparency and alignment, improving speed and accuracy of information access and reducing complexity across Illuminas platform and product portfolio. Tasks and Responsibilities Youll do: * Identify and eliminate data gaps caused by over-reliance on tribal knowledge * Research, collect and document platform, product, kit and material data * Gather, compile and analyze data to identify, prioritize and recommend process improvement opportunities * Guide teams and departments through the content and documentation gathering process * Populate intranet web portal to provide access to this information * Build and execute multi-channel internal communication plan to raise awareness across multiple business units * Apply user-centric design standards * Generate creative ideas and approaches to content management and system adoption challenges Youll gain: * Knowledge about genetic sequencing by interacting with subject-matter experts across Illuminas business * Deep understanding of the design, manufacture and delivery of leading-edge product lines to market * Work experience in a corporate communications arena and business operations in a genetic sequencing field * Best practices for improving social amp; collaborative tools in the workplace * Insights into how to successfully collaborate within a cross-functional organization * Be the organizing and simplifying force in a highly intricate, data-driven environment Youll need: * Curious and analytical mindset, driven to unravel evidence to find the answers * Confidence in managing and navigating through data and content * Strong writer and presenter with excellent organizational skills, including managing large bodies of information and/or building information hierarchies * Networking and ability to scale the organization - working with colleagues of all levels * Ability to digest and explain complex concepts in a simple waynbsp; * High level of web and social media skill/comfort experience building sites, blogs, pages, etc. * Understanding of genetic sequencing methodology and related scientific and engineering disciplines * Experience or strong ability to quickly come up to speed with the following platforms: Confluence, SAP, Workplace/Facebook Educational Background * Must be a rising junior/senior or a Master's candidate in the fields ofnbsp;Bio-Sciences, Engineering, User Experience Design/Human Factors, Data Science/Information Architecture, Communication, Psychology or Population Genetics * Minimum 3.5 GPA This role is located in San Diego, CA.nbsp; Candidates can apply to intern roles through October 31st, at which time they will be removed from posting.nbsp; Please save the job description for all roles to which you applied, in order to reference once the postings are removed.
