Manufacturing Internship - Summer 2019 Location: Norman, OKDepartment: Upstream Manufacturing Type: InternshipMin. Experience: Student (College) Job purpose Nature of the position involves assisting the assigned supervisor and the manufacturing team with manufacturing product. Manufacturing interns will rotate through the manufacturing lab and fully experience the manufacturing process for each product line from start to finish. Interns will be trained on a variety of processes including antigen and antibody preparation, bulk buffer manufacturing, tangential flow filtration, and EIA testing and troubleshooting. This job is a temporary job intended for the summer semester of 2019. Currently, this internship is not eligible for renewal. Key duties and responsibilities * General housekeeping of the manufacturing lab * Antigen and antibody purification and preparation * Cell culture and BSL-3 work * Buffer manufacturing for each product line * Testing and troubleshooting for various products * Packaging and labeling reagents * Finished good(s) assembly and labeling * Apply good documentation practices when recording data and completing records * Follow manufacturing/quality control protocols reproducibly within a specified timeframe * Any other duties as assigned Qualifications * Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or better * Must have completed your freshman year at an accredited college or university * Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Excellent interpersonal skills * High attention to detail * Must be comfortable performing repetitive tasks * Must be comfortable working independently as well as in a team * Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs * Must be committed to meeting attendance requirements Credits This is a paid internship; which also may be used for course credit. * *
