Quality Control Intern QUALITY CONTROL INTERN JOB PURPOSE Over the course of a full academic semester, the Quality Control Intern will work with Quality Control employees to gain hands-on experience within the Quality Department. Interns get exposure to a variety of processes including but not limited to quality control testing and troubleshooting, specimen and reference material manufacturing, and packaging QC specimens and reference materials. The Quality Control Internship is held each summer, spring, and fall academic semester. Summer internships have the opportunity to extend through the fall academic semester and spring internships have the opportunity to extend through the summer academic semester. Currently, internships are not eligible for renewal. INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE INCLUDES: * Exposure to an FDA and ISO-regulated IVD manufacturing facility * Reading Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and Device Master Records (DMRs) * Applying proper documentation to Device History Records (DHRs) * Training in aseptic technique and performing bioburdens * Large-scale buffer manufacturing * Determining concentration and optimal dilution of specimens for QC specimens * Determining optimal dilutions for reference materials * Performing testing on multiple product types: EIA, LFA, ID, etc. * Packaging and labeling finished materials QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications include: * Must have completed your freshmen year at an accredited college or university * Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or better * Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite * Must have excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills * Must have good teamwork and effective communication skills * Must be comfortable performing repetitive tasks with a high attention to detail * Must be committed to meeting attendance requirements Desired Qualifications include: * Microbiology, biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related fields laboratory experience * Experience working in an established ISO 13485 and FDA QSR environment a plus TITLE: Quality Control Intern LOCATION: Norman, OK DESCRIPTION: Internship
