The position is designed for rising junior or senior undergraduate students who are enrolled in a North Carolina-based university. Under the supervision of the VP of Strategy, the corporate strategy & analytics intern is generally expected to assist with selected functions of the Corporate Strategy group of Ingersoll Rand. The Corporate Strategy group works with Ingersoll Rand's enterprise leadership and eleven strategic business units to identify and develop business strategies to fuel company growth. The team consists of business leaders who joined the company with prior experience at top-tier consultancies, investment banks, other corporate strategy groups, and in elite MBA programs. Responsibilities: The corporate strategy and analytics intern may perform functions to assist with strategy development, business analytics, and profitability analysis across various business units of the company. Tasks assigned to the corporate strategy and analytics intern may include any or all of, but are not limited to, the following: analysis and business research; drafting communications; data collection; conducting stakeholder interviews; preparing documents to summarize and present research and analysis; and performing other duties, as assigned within the scope of the essential functions of the position. Qualifications: The candidate must be enrolled as a student in a four year university. The ideal candidate should have experience inconducting business analytics, strong Excel modeling skills, and experience in producing presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint. Experience with SQL, SAS, Tableau or other analytics tools are a plus.
