Job responsibilities include development of CPU verification test bench, test plans, tests, coverage monitors/assertions and infrastructure. The candidate will debug failing tests in CPU simulation/emulation/silicon environment, then work with designers and architects to resolve bugs.Develops preSilicon functional validation tests to verify system will meet design requirements. Creates test plans for RTL validation, defining and running system simulation models, and finding and implementing corrective measures for failing RTL tests. Analyzes and uses results to modify testing. Qualifications Required Experience/Skills (Must Have) -The candidate should have a BS in Electric Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering with 3+ years of experience in validation, preferably on the CPU including experience in the area of test bench development OR a MS with 2+ years of experience -CPU micro-architecture knowledge in areas such as out-of-order execution, processor pipelines, Memory load and store, Cache Coherency, Paging etc. -Experience of PreSi System Verilog RTL verification flow and environments, including test plans, test writing, and Coverage. -Knowledge of CPU assembly, Verilog and/or System Verilog, OVM, hardware modeling, and Assertions. Preferred Qualifications -Experience in closely-related areas such as SOC memory subsystem design or validation will also be considered. -Past experience in testbench architecture and hands-on development of components like BFMs, checkers, transactors, monitors and others using verification methodologies like System-Verilog VMM/OVM/UVM or equivalent is highly desirable. -Proficiency in independent debug of System Verilog RTL failures to root-cause functional bugs. -Directed or Constrained-Random test-writing skills a plus.
