The Intel Involved Program enables employees to bring their expertise and enthusiasm to communities by volunteering. Responsibilities include interaction with many external organizations as well as internal groups (business units and employee groups) to support volunteerism. Candidate will help identify, plan and execute site-wide and business-unit specific volunteer projects in cooperation with the Public Affairs Manager. Intel relies on our community engagement programs to enable Intel's License to Operate in our site communities. Intern desired for 12-18 months. (P) Responsibilities: -Support the coordination and planning of strategic programs, campaigns, and sponsorships around volunteerism including, for example, National Engineers Week, Earth Month, PC Pals E-Mentorship Program, Matching Grant Celebration, and the Intern Day of Service. -Assist with internal communications for events and campaigns by developing content through various platforms including monthly newsletters, blogs, etc. and maintaining a generic email inbox. -Maintain and develop connections with local nonprofit organizations. -Analyze trends in volunteerism and develop strategies to increase employee participation. -Identify, plan and lead site-wide and business-unit volunteer projects with local nonprofit organizations or schools on and off-site. -Support volunteer project administration including creating volunteer projects in the online tool, data entry of volunteer hours, storing photo release records, processing payments, taking photos at events and managing site-wide donation drives. (P) Behavioral Traits: -Excellent written communication skills -Strong verbal communication -Attention to detail and strong organizational skills -Capacity to work under tight deadlines and within flexible hours as necessary -Understanding and interest in Corporate Social Responsibility (P) Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. (P) Minimum Qualifications: -The candidate should be pursuing a BS, BA in Public Relations, Communications, Business Management or any other related field of study -This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position. (P) Preferred qualifications: -Local Candidate (Folsom area) to support working part-time, no relocation will be provided.
