    Quality and Reliability Engineering Intern Folsom, CA -Job ID:JR0076191 Job Category:Intern/Student Primary Location:Folsom, CA US Other Locations: Job Type:Intern -Quality and Reliability Engineering InternJob Description Quality and Reliability Engineering Intern will be responsible for developing physics-based reliability models for reliability assessments of Intel solid state drives. and its media. The successful candidate will work closely with architecture, design, power/thermal, supplier Q&R and Intel's QRMT teams to gather all relevant model inputs, use conditions, and based on that create and execute a qualification plan for the Intel's Solid State Drives. You will be gathering empirical from multiple experiments to demonstrate quality and reliability goals are met . Responsibilities of this position include: - Determining reliability requirements to achieve company, customer and other reliability objectives. - Developing physics-based predictive reliability modeling methods and tools for reliability risk assessments. - Developing SSD risk assessment techniques, test methods and analytical tools to provide fast and effective feedback for reliability process optimization. (P) Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly. (P) Minimum Requirements: Candidate must be pursuing a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field. 6+ months of experience in the following areas: -Semiconductor Device physics and modeling -Circuit design -Semiconductor processing -Probability and statistics (P) Preferred Requirements: 6+ months of experience in the following areas: -Programming C or C++, PERL or Python -Hands-on experimental design, execution, analysis, interpretation and synthesis -Non-volatile memories, especially product or reliability experience with a range of analytical lab test equipment such as Logic and spectrum analyzers/oscilloscopes, semiconductor parametric analyzer CV-IV -Reliability failure statistics, physics, or failure mechanisms. CMOS transistor level circuit design, semiconductor device physics, memory reliability, interconnect reliability, computer or digital systems, or board level design -Statistical analysis packages JMP or Minitab Computer programming for data acquisition, reduction and analysis.
