U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school. (P) You will have the opportunity to enhance and develop cutting-edge automation tools and design and code highly scalable frameworks, some of which are used by Intel's worldwide system validation community. You will have the responsibility to adapt existing tools to add new features or interfaces, as well as have a technical foothold in the area of automated testing environments. You will get broad exposure and familiarity to modem/wireless systems solutions. You will interface with various modem architecture, design, and pre-silicon validation teams in improving post-silicon test content and providing feedback for future platforms/products. Be able to work in a large team (good teamwork skills) and have good debugging/problem solving skills -Develop automation scripts for modem testing in the field. -Develop and maintain post processing scripts/tools to extract needed data from modem traces. -Support testers and debug issues seen during the automation and provide workarounds to overcome restrictions/configurations -Create, define and develop system validation environment and test suites. Use and apply emulation and platform level tools and techniques to ensure performance to spec. -Responsible for the development of automation methodologies, execution of validation plans, and debug of failures. -Execute field test cases per specifications (Operator, KPI, Internal Functional etc.) -Accurately setup, execute and report measurement results per test specification -Generate accurate daily test reports, documenting test steps, measurements and failures -Working closely with engineering to isolate and debug issues (P) Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. (P) Minimum requirements: -The ideal candidate must be pursuing a Master degree in Engineering or Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. -At least 6+ months of experience in software development and test automation, along with the ability to diagnose and communicate complex technical issues. -At least 6+ months of experience in Python, Javascript or other scripting frameworks. (P) Preferred qualification: -Experience with programming language, such as Perl, C, C++. -Experience in CDMA/WCDMA, UMTS, LTE or 5G (P) (P)Inside this Business Group Communication & Devices Group: The wireless revolution at Intel!
