This is an advanced wireless research team within the Wireless Communications Research organization in Intel Labs. (P) This position focuses on research and development of next generation wireless technologies (5G) and may include working in the areas of mm Wave communications, sub 6GHz front end module technology development and other leading edge topics. Research responsibilities will include theoretical analysis, technology development, simulation at the physical component and/or system-level, as well as prototype design, fabrication, and measurement characterization related activities. You will be an innovative thinker, well-versed in one or more of the following: antenna design, filter design, simulation of electromagnetic fields, RF system design, or micro fabrication. (P) You will be expected to present research results to your peer group, and should have excellent communications skills. (P) Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. (P) Minimum Qualifications: - The candidate must be pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a focus on one or more of Radio Frequency, Electromagnetic, Integrated Circuit fabrication, or mm Wave subjects. -At least 6+ months of experience with one or more of the following simulation tools: HFSS, CST or ADS -At least 6+ months of experience one or more of the following test and measurement equipment: Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes or power meters. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PCB design processes. Prior experience with one or more advanced technology areas in 5G such as RF filters or mm Wave design at the component or system level. Prior experience in nano fabrication. Experience with Matlab.
