In this internship position, the student will work with a team of validation researchers and developers to extend and enhance the open source symbolic analysis engine CRETE used in Excite, the automated solution for UEFI/BIOS security validation, and use Excite to validate open source Tianocore EDKII BIOS. (P) -The candidate is expected to work closely with the team but carry out research, development and test tasks with minimal supervision. (P) Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. (P) Minimum requirements: The candidate must be pursuing a Ph.D. degree in verification and validation research. Experience in: - UEFI/BIOS - Developing symbolic analysis capabilities for software verification. Preferred qualifications: -Hands-on knowledge on software validation and CRETE is desired.
