JOB DESCRIPTION:
INTERNSHIP - COMMUNICATIONS

At GAF, we’ll make sure you get going on your very first day with a comprehensive orientation into our company. In our program, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for your own projects, participate in meetings and work cross-functionally with other departments.
GAF is looking for a Communications Intern. The ideal candidate for this role is majoring in communications, marketing, journalism, writing, and/or public relations. The intern would be responsible for regularly supporting the team across all functions of communications, including internal, external media relations and social media, community engagement/CSR, and events.
JOB DUTIES:
Develop cross-channel content for GAF’s owned channels (social, intranet, blog, etc.)
Assist with intranet publishing calendar and monthly measurement
Support media coverage monitoring
Draft media pitches and research targets
Assist with social media listening and research
Support community engagement efforts
REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent communication skills are necessary as is the ability to operate in a team. The successful candidate must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and an anticipated graduation date between December 2023 and May 2025.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States, without visa sponsorship.
All GAF internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however, there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 37.5 hours per week over the summer. Housing, transportation, F-1 and HB-1 visa sponsorship will not be provided in association with these positions
