Job Description

As a Development intern you will work with a team of engineers and industry professionals in one or several of the following areas:

HARDWARE DEVELOPMENT:

This may include both mechanical or electrical HW and activities may include: modeling various aspects of drive/controller systems, lab testing, prototype evaluation, technology investigations, and small design projects. Areas of work may be control systems, motor electromagnetics, and digital/analog electronics, product design and development

HARDWARE TEST:

if you like pushing products to their limits to meet the rigid standards of industrial components, you will be interested in these activities, which include: design and development of scripts for automating test procedures, documenting of test procedures, execution of test procedures for verification of product functionality (manual/automated), creation of test reports, assistance with lab audit/improvement activities, assist with build and commissioning of test hardware platforms.

You will have the opportunity to be a significant contributor, while getting comprehensive exposure to the business structure of Rockwell Automation and how we are helping our customers bring the Connected Enterprise to life.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited college or university

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75

• Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0

• Preference given to students met on campus, at a national recruiting event, through a Rockwell Automation-hosted event or a targeted recruiting campaign

• Preference give to students who have had prior intern or co-op with Rockwell Automation in the past

• Pursuing a degree in MechanicalEngineering or Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Electronics

• Experience with industrial automation environments

• Previous experience with Industrial Automation products
