The Internal Audit Intern will:

• Assist in preparation of audits.
• Research topics in professional literature and other sources, off- and online.
• Identify relevant external and internal regulation.
• Identify relevant data sources, analyze and support the data analysis.

The Internal Audit Intern will perform audit steps in support of ongoing audits:

• Assist in analysis of sample to identify outliers, trends, etc. Assist in data lookup to support sample testing.
• Document test details.
• Report results to lead auditors.
• Assist in development of presentation of findings and recommendations as well as the audit report.

In addition, assist in administration of Audit team:

• Monitor audit follow-up.
• Review travel expenses and other support activities.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Enrolled in a relevant College program (Industry-specific or Internal Audit) or prior job/internship experience in the building materials industry (Cement, Materials, Ready Mix, or Building Products) or Internal Audit.
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite, especially Excel or Access.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work closely with all levels of the organization, team player.
• Project management experience an advantage.
• Inquisitive mind, goal oriented, excellent analytical skills.
• Sound business sense, quick thinking.
• Ability to work independently and with direction and guidance.
• Fluent spoken and written English, German a plus.
