    Lab Technician Tracking Code 5917-292 Job Description We are currently looking for a Lab Technician to join our Global Product Integrity Team. This is an excellent, entry level opportunity for those looking to gain experience in the Fragrances industry. The Lab Tech, GPIC compounds fragrance formulas by manual trials and by robot automation. This role provides the opportunity work in a dynamic environment so as to align with customer requests and project prioritizations, meet tight deadlines; efficiently follow-up on action items and effectively interact with the technical perfumery team and some cross functional teams. As a Lab Technician, GPIC, you'll spend your time... Compounding fragrance formulas by manual trials and by robot automation Maintaining perfumers log of corporate numbers and perfumer targets Maintaining approval/rejection log of batches made by the lab Ordering and replenishing raw material inventory while monitoring shelf life Learning/Understanding batch metrics formulary systems and other applications relevant to compounding and sampling activities Complying with IFFs safety guidelines and work closely with one or several perfumers, depending on project scope. About You To be successful in this role, you ideally have a bachelors degree in Biology or Chemistry and 2 to 5 years of experience in a flavor or fragrance creative laboratory with a strong understanding of essential oils and perfumery raw materials. Experience working with sub-components and bases is preferred and knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) is a plus. About Us We are IFF. Computer skills: Must be proficient in basic computer knowledge and comfortable using automated systems and computer task management tools. Interpersonal skills: strong ability to a)work in a dynamic environment so as to align with customer requests and project prioritizations, b)meet tight deadlines; c)efficiently follow-up on actions item and d)effectively interact with technical perfumery team and some cross functional teams. Communication skills: good written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical colleagues Must be safe and conscientious lab operator for the protection of all employees Required Experience 2 to 5 years industry experience in fragrance or flavor creative laboratory with a strong understanding of essential oils and perfumery raw materials. Experience working with sub-components and bases in order to optimize production of creative samples. Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) is a plus. 2 or 4 year college degree preferred.
