    Eaton’s ES CRDS RESI Residential division is currently seeking a Design Engineering Intern.

    The monthly rate for this position is $3,360 - $5,500 monthly

    What you’ll do:

    The primary function of the Engineering Intern shall be to assist Engineering Department in creating and organizing design files to create readily accessible structures to aid design and manufacturing in creation of production work packets for orders sent to manufacturing. Activities will also involve organizing design files and updating as necessary to current manufacturing means and methods. This role will also be tasked with updating work order format to include Bidman takeoff information to be included on production work orders. This role will also include some design activities utilizing Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor to create parts and assemblies to be used for production purposes.

    Summary of Duties:

    • Conceives and provides practical and improved product design applications.
    • Emphasis is on conceiving moderately complex product designs and preparing design layouts by using a computer graphics system.
    • Accurately makes design calculations, decisions and does the necessary analysis and computer simulations.
    • Works closely with the Engineers and technicians, regarding product design, prototype and production parts and assemblies.

    Qualifications:

    Required (Basic) Qualifications:

    • Education (Please provide what specific engineering course you are looking for this role)
    • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please don't round).
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
    • Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Williamsburg, VA.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel) (Word)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with Autodesk Autocad and Inventor software suite
    • Excellent communication skills to work with Operational staff and teach employees proper transactional processes.
    • Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
