  • Responsibilities
    • Support Solution Architecture activities for Invacare projects and represent Invacare in cross segment projects and programs, across Invacare globally

    • Support continuous process improvement activities for Invacare, aligning IT solutions with process improvements in co-ordination with the business process owner

    • Collaborates with the business to evaluate business goals, identify business problems/needs, and propose solutions using the whole portfolio of IT assets.

    • Performs impact analysis of making changes affecting multiple application systems or functional domains and develops cost / benefit analysis for each identified solution, in support of the continuous process improvement enhancements

    • Support the architect of the solution across critical architecture domains, Business/Process, Application/Services, Data/Information, Technology/ Infrastructure/ Operations, Security etc. and ensuring full use of ‘standard’ customizing is utilized

    • Work across business areas, applications, data domains and technologies, although a core competency in one of the following business areas should be achieved:

      • Commercial/Sales/Market Units
      • Operations (Supply Chain/Logistics/Production/Planning)
      • Technical Services
      • Back Office (Finance/Controlling/HR)
      • Purchase to Pay
      • Quality (in relation to Operations as well as Quality Systems)
      • EHS
    • Support in ensuring solutions meet business needs and supports the continuous review of processes, along with architecturally significant functional and nonfunctional requirements.

    • Support in ensuring solutions are delivered as designed and be the single owner for the solution defined.

    • Decompose business programs into an actionable set of activities, to include business process modeling, simulation, and validating the business premise

    • Supports in ensuring solution architectures in their domain adhere to enterprise architecture technical and functional strategies, policies, standards and practices while contributing to broader EA activities.

    • Supports the Application Subject Matter Experts and business process owners in development of estimates / validation of suppliers' estimates.

    • Supports application testing, implementation, and training activities.

    • Performs quality review checks on project deliverables.

    • Perform evaluations of existing applications for reuse and standardization across the enterprise

    • Proactively seek opportunities to optimize and enhance current technology portfolio, capabilities and processes

    • Acts as a liaison between business clients and technical staff (e.g., development staff) throughout the development life cycle on complex projects

    • Manages teams during projects and ensures all HR processes are adhered to

    • Complete all required training applicable to assigned position.

    • Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.

    • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experiences is required

    • 6+ years in related business process and solutions information technology work, primarily in the area of SAP

    • 3+ years as a Solutions Architect or business process owner with the ability to see & present the big picture and offer solutions to make it better, whether they be process improvements or technical solutions

    • Development of IT Architecture on multiple solutions is required.

    • Experience creating technical documents, business flows and process diagrams.

    • Experience in a variety of roles through a software development process or Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

    • Familiarity with multiple technology platforms, patterns and frameworks (Portals/Mobile,SOA, BPM, ECM, MDM, ERP (SAP) etc).

    • Familiarity with general principles of Enterprise Architecture, such as approaches, design patterns, metrics, and relevant industry standards

    • Experience in technology assessments, platform consolidation, application rationalization, data migration

    • Experience developing executable architectural blueprints and roadmaps

    • Excellent communication (oral/written/presentation) skills along with relationship-building and customer facing skills are needed with an ability to facilitate meetings with Business process owners, Business and IT stakeholders. Ability to communicate ideas in technical and user-friendly language.

    • Understanding of IT financial management, Project Management and Operations general principles, processes and techniques.

    • 4+ years of experience with development of production deployed solutions

    • 2+ years of experience with continuous process improvement techniques such as Six Sigma

    • 4+ years of experience with production deployed solutions leveraging mainstream enterprise technologies e.g. SAP

    • 2+ years of experience delivering analysis and analysis models in at least 3 of the following areas: 1) Business (Strategy, Organization, Process Requirements). 2) Applications. 3) Data. 4) Technology

    • Experience with Business Process Modeling, Business Process Management, and/or Business Process Automation is mandatory

    • Hands-on experience with production deployed BPM solutions is preferred.
