    Job description

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Inventory Control Clerk position is responsible for ensuring cycle counts are occurring according to the procedure, auditing the counts versus SAP, and making any necessary corrections or reconciliations. In addition, this position will track inventory performance and report out to the appropriate parties on a routine basis while assisting with other duties as assigned by management or supervision.

    Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 2:00PM

    Hourly Rate: $25.00/HR

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    Main responsibilities of this job:

    • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
    • Oversee cycle counts daily, weekly, and monthly using the cycle count procedure.
    • Audit cycle counts to ensure accuracy of the count.
    • Verify physical inventory matches the quantities in SAP.
    • Publish daily inventory report to necessary departments.
    • Perform daily audits of material handler transactions in SAP and ensure corrections are made if necessary.
    • Document all material shortages and investigate root causes.
    • Develop inventory teams for annual physical inventory.
    • Assist with housekeeping in the Shipping and Receiving areas.
    • Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Accounting the removal of any non-conforming material from inventory.
    • Coordinate staging and storage of Fabrication finished goods.

    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES

    • Attend all Safety Chats.
    • Attend scheduled meetings.
    • Participate in the Fabrication & Linear Department Planning calls.
    • Communicate all material abnormalities to the appropriate people promptly.
    • Learn all necessary functions in SAP S4 to ensure system accuracy.
    • Perform all other duties requested by the Logistics Manager or Production Supervisor.

    Required Qualifications

    MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

    • 4-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
    • High school diploma or GEDs.
    • Ability to read policies & procedure manuals.
    • Ability to safety operate/use hand and power tools.
    • Certified forklift driver or ability to become certified.
    • Ability to use measuring instruments (calipers, thickness gage, dial indicator, etc.)
    • Able to pay attention to detail.
    • Must have experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP).
    • Multi-task & be flexible with assignments.
    • Must have general computer skills abilities to complete and/or update reports, orders, etc.

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Industrial Plant setting with exposure to temperature fluctuations (hot during summer months and cold during winter months)
    • Required to wear personal protective equipment as appropriate to task and environment.
    • Consistently dusty and noisy work environment
    • 100% of day spent standing, walking, bending, or squatting.
    • Must be able lift up to 50lbs at least 100 times a day
    • Must be able to work 10-12-hour shifts and work weekends when necessary.
