Tracking Code 943-554 Job Description The Maintenance Technician performs maintenance related tasks as required to ensure the safe and reliable operation of electrical and mechanical equipment. The position is a craftsman level job and should be able to work any shift. This role will involve occasional overtime, back shift, weekend and holiday coverage as necessary. Perform repair of mechanical equipment. Use technical manuals, blue prints, and engineering sketches as required. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment. Responsible for performing and documenting preventive maintenance on production machinery. Responsible for keeping equipment in top condition for safe and efficient production results. Will need to operate machines from time to time for both troubleshooting and to supplement production requirements during busy periods. Required Skills 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or combination of related technical education and work experience required. High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent technical school degree preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization. Fundamental mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability related to typical bulk material handling equipment, and fluid flow systems. Fundamental electrical knowledge and troubleshooting ability 480 volt and lower. Understanding of electric motors and motor systems. Basic familiarity with instrumentation such as level, flow, temperature, PLCs and HMIs. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Job Location North Charleston, South Carolina, United States
