    Quality Engineer II United States of America, Wisconsin, Milwaukee Quality & Continuous Improvement WD30060047345 Requisition # 3 days ago Post Date Share this Job How you will do it As a Quality Engineer you will participate on Simultaneous Development Teams (SDT) and influence the Operations team by: Performing Data Analysis using various statistical tools (regression analysis, ANOVA, DOE, frequency distribution analysis, etc.) of process data looking for linkages of product / process characteristics to Quality Metrics. Supporting / maintaining database and reporting systems for vital plant quality operating metrics. Issue reports using real time data which provides the plant or Milwaukee process data information that allows a basis for business decisions. Performing process control evaluations to identify sources of variation and support variation reductions in battery products and processes. Complete New/existing equipment process capability studies. Supporting design and execution of experiments to evaluate product outputs versus changes made to upstream processes. Design/acquire tools (hardware, software, programming, gage fixtures) for process control. QA documentation maintenance. Review, update and ensure that QA documentation is generated and aligned in place as required. Interface with plant QA, and Milwaukee MFG engineering and Product to provide testing and data analysis to ensure product and process compliance. Conduct initial product qualification/validation runs for new products or processes. Design, develop and improve plant test procedures. Support JCI process improvement teams. Ensure problem solving methodology is followed (pareto, fish bone, various charts and graphs). Track and maintain the progress of team. Complete MSA/ Gage R&R studies as required. Internal Plant Audits. Conduct internal plant audits for quality systems (TS16949) and product process compliance and present findings in summary format to plant and Milwaukee management. Issue Corrective Action Requests and perform follow up actions to prevent reoccurrence of deficiency. Audit work for accuracy of results from electrical lab, chemical lab and warranty teardown analysis. Conducts training of lab procedures for all new hires and of existing lab personnel whenever methodology changes are enacted. Provides standardization procedure methodology. Update Process FMEAs for equipment modifications or new installations. Implement corrective actions for customer complaints. Extended hours may be necessary to meet internal and external customer requirements. Performs other duties as assigned. What we look for Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in technical or science based field required. 3+ years of experience in manufacturing environment required Knowledge of automotive problem solving tools (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa analysis) required Knowledge of core quality tools including: Process control plans, process flow diagrams, FMEA, MSA, SPC Knowledge of statistical tools including: regression analysis, ANOVA, DOE and frequency distribution analysis. Computer skills including Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Ability to travel up to 50%, travel could be both domestic and international. Desired Qualifications: Automotive or Tier 1 experience Working Conditions: Position is in a test lab, plant and corporate environment. Position requires work with potentially hazardous products in a controlled, safe environment.
