    Following its establishment in 2012, today Plzen is our fastest growing Engineering Development Center in Europe; the development center works on the design and development of Lear Products related to Mechanical Engineering such as complex seating mechanisms and structures, foams, coatings, plastics and trim development. With a headcount of circa 250 employees today, the vision for Plzen is to develop into a leading Design and Development Center working on projects for all major European OEM customer groups from concept phase through to delivery.

    Reporting directly to the business unit Engineering CAD Manager and working within the engineering project team you will have a key focus to coordinate and develop new product design activities to customer requirements whilst working closely with the sales and quality departments.

     

    AS A CAD DESIGNER YOUR ROLE MAY ALSO INCLUDE:  

    • Design and develop part of the seats based on specifications from the customer.
    • Integrate components and assemblies to the seat systems.
    • Take a lead in assigned projects.
    • Communicate with clients and solve technical issues during development.
    • Implementation of the design calculations and analysis.

     

    TO BE A SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE YOU MUST HAVE:

    • University degree in engineering.
    • Knowledge and experience in a 3D design program - Catia is a must.
    • Experience in a similar position min. 3 years in product development field.
    • Communicative knowledge of English language.
    • Experience in the field of mechanical design (plastics, metals).
