Group/Division KLA-Tencor's Surfscan-ADE Division provides leading-edge inspection and metrology products for semiconductor manufacturing process. Responsibilities The Surfscan-ADE division is hiring a software engineer to join the software development team at Milpitas to work on the family of Surfscan Inspection tools that are the best-in-class semiconductor inspection equipment in the industry. The role requires design and development of Software including Calibrations, Algorithms, User Interface and Workflows to run on cutting edge inspections tools. Candidate should be able to gather requirements from Systems Engineers, design and develop code that meets required performance specifications. The candidate should have solid fundamentals in math and be able to analyze large sets of data, perform modeling, design and develop highly optimized software that runs reliabily in a fully automated production environment. Job Duties: * Responsible for software development using C++, STL, Java, C#, .net under Windows Operating System. * Participate in all stages of software development including deployment / trouble shooting at customer sites. Preferred Qualifications * Experience in Object Oriented Programming with C++, C# (or Java) * Experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Design Patterns and UML. * Experience with multithreading and parallel processing. * Experience with general Software Principles and Product Lifecycle. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Experience with large software systems and multi-threaded software is required. * Experience C++ Templates and STL. * Experience with Java Python preferable Minimum Qualifications * Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer science / Electronics / Electrical or equivalent field in process Equal Employment Opportunity KLA-Tencor is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
