We are a full service supplier of metal stampings and welded assemblies for the automotive industry.  Our stamping capabilities range from 300-2000 tons with both progressive and transfer presses.  We have 8 pedestal welders, 14 dedicated weld cells, repacking, and hand assembly operations.  Come join our team and be a part of something big!

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a position in the quality department. This person would be responsible for examination of weld quality generated through the cut and etch inspection method.

This position will require training at our Bellevue, Ohio location

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs a cross-sectional analysis of welds
• Use tools like a plasma cutter, polishing pad and/or grinder to expose the original parts
• Use chemicals to etch welds
• Use specific measuring tools and microscopes to collect data
• Records inspection and test results and prepares and submits reports to engineering personnel.
• Work with Quality personnel on weld quality and make necessary adjustments
• Evaluates data and conducts experiments to develop application of new equipment or improved techniques, procedures or practices
• Communicate problems verbally and/or in writing to the area coordinator

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
