PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Supervises and coordinates activities of the production departments including press, assembly and welding functions to meet production schedules and quality standards by performing the following duties.

Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.).
Troubleshoots Production and Quality problems with Production (5Why), Tooling and Quality personnel.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Performs activities of workers supervised.
Directs and leads CI improvement projects/meetings.
Direct, lead, and maintain the team’s 5S excellence and adherence.
Ability to communicate with large groups (present in department meetings, training, plantwides, etc).
Continue the growth and learning process of his/her team members through sharing knowledge and best practices.

Able and willing to work any shift assigned, weekends and overtime
Regular and predictable attendance required
Directs all NCF product and schedule to make parts useable.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); 3-5 years of supervisory experience with an understanding of welding, stamping and automated assembly process.

4) Must have very good knowledge of technology to include computers and software programs such as MS Office or MAC word processing, spreadsheets or other programs specific to the job in order to complete duties successfully.
5) Requires good knowledge of multiple functions or areas of the business in which there is frequent contact with while completing daily work assignments of the job.
6) Must have very good oral and written communication skills sufficient to explain departmental policy, methods and/or procedures when completing assignments.
