Will be exposed to various areas of accounting, Financial Reporting, Cost Accounting, General Ledger maintenance and account reconciliations by assisting with both long term and day to day projects. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : List the essential duties and responsibilities of the position, in order of importance and/or amount of time spent. Assist in fixed asset audit and related physical inventory. Assist in balance sheet reconciliations Assist in preparation of monthly bank reconciliations. Must have understanding of basic accounting principles Experience working with the complete MS Office suite of products including Excel, Word and Outlook Must be detail oriented and have a strong attention to detail EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: What is the usual educational background and work experience of an individual qualified to perform this job? Currently enrolled in a Bachelors Degree program with an accounting emphasis Accounting coursework courses taken should include an introduction to Accounting class as well as Managerial Accounting. PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: What are the specific physical and mental demands of this position? Must be able to work at computer for extended periods.
