Position Summary
The Brewpub Server Assistant supports the Servers, Expos and Bartenders in providing a dynamic and authentic Brewpub experience to guests by ensuring timely delivery of beer & food, providing silent service such as prebusing & refills and by following company-established procedures.
Essential Functions & Duties
Server Assistant ensures all food is delivered to the guests in pivot point within the Companies timing standards and that the guests have the needed condiments, refills, utensils, etc. prior to leaving the table.
Servers will process refills and guest requests through Aloha and the Server Assistant will be responsible to deliver these items to the guest.
Ensures an authentic beer and culinary experience for each guest by assisting servers by delivering beer samples known as “samples” to the guest, describing the beers specific characteristics. The Brewpub Server Assistant will support the servers by delivering beer pairings known as “pairings” to guests so that the server can then pair that specific beer to their appetizer, entrée or monthly pairing.
Maintains food and beer education through the information given in the Monthly Service Tools in regards to the Monthly Beer and Food Pairing, Beer Education, and becoming Level I Cicerone Certified- Certified Beer Server within 60 days of hire.
Assists bartenders, servers, and expos as needed in order to provide the best experience to the guest including, but not limited to, pre-bussing, providing refills, running food, performing restroom checks, and cleaning spills as necessary.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
High School diploma or equivalent.
Current Food Handler’s Card (if applicable by County regulations).
Ability to work a minimum of three shifts per week.
Honest and reliable, punctual and enthusiastic.
Successful completion of the Server Assistant training program and testing
Acquires a Level I Cicerone-Certified- Certified Beer Server within 60 days of hire.
