2nd Shift Engineering Technician Job Number: 288696 Description: A 2nd Shift Engineering Technician position in Manchester, CT is now accepting applications. This is a six month contract position with one of our key manufacturing clients. To be considered for this role, you will need to have an Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school along with a minimum of two years quality inspection and testing /molding in a manufacturing or industrial environment. In this job, you will support the Manufacturing Quality Engineering initiatives through inspections and dispositions of finished goods, tests and inspects products; compiles data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties. ***This is a contract role (6 months) 2nd Shift Engineering Technician Job Responsibilities: Provide support for engineering and development projects, including molding, testing, and evaluation and material preparation to customer specifics Daily inspection of finished goods Tests production finished goods for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics Records test data, applying quality control procedures, signs off on accuracy and conformity Evaluates data to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards; reviews with Product Engineer Approve lots for Shipment utilizing existing management data system (SAP) Maintain 5S standards. Participate in 5S activities. 2nd Shift Engineering Technician Job Qualifications: Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school Two years quality inspection and testing /molding in a manufacturing or industrial environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
