Position Overview:
The HR Intern plays a crucial role in supporting the HR department's daily operations. This position provides hands-on experience in various human resources functions, including recruiting, personnel records management, employee communication, HRIS, benefits, and organization development. The HR Intern will assist in maintaining organized and accurate records, support employee engagement initiatives, and help ensure the efficient operation of the HR department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain practical experience and develop a career in human resources.
Essential Job Functions:
- Organize and maintain employee records and files.
- Scan and digitally archive documents to ensure easy access and retrieval.
- Facilitate the documentation process for onboarding, transfers, promotions, or separations ensuring all required forms are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Input and update data in the HR information system.
- Help draft and distribute internal communications.
- Assist with organizing employee engagement activities and events.
- Generate reports as required.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, related to recruitment, onboarding, benefits, or HRIS.
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years’ experience in a Human Resources function or in an administrative/supporting role.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be resourceful and take initiative even when given minimal direction.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with HRIS.
- Previous experience in an office or HR setting is preferred.
- Basic understanding of HR principles and practices.
- Emphasis on process improvement.
Educations/Certifications:
- High School Graduate or GED
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Safety:
- Complies with all safety regulations; maintains a safe work environment at all times .
- Adheres to always wearing the proper PPE/Safety equipment.
- Understands and complies with all written safety, health, and environmental procedures.
- Attends all required scheduled Health, Safety and Environmental training sessions.
- Participates in required Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives and programs.
- Perform required administrative functions related to Health, Safety and Environmental functions such as completing forms, checklists, and log sheets.

- Work Environment: This position requires one to work both in an office environment and a manufacturing facility. There is a moderate level of noise, heat, cold, dust, dirt and fumes in the manufacturing setting. Employee may be exposed to varying temperatures.
