    POSITION SUMMARY:

    As a HUMAN RESOURCES REPRESENTATIVE you will provide outstanding customer service, support and coaching to all associates, including supervisors and leaders to help meet all company goals and initiatives.

     

    JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Maintaining positive associate relations through effective communication and prompt attention to associate concerns.

    • Processes and maintains associate status changes in ADP.

    • Processes associate employment terminations in ADP.

    • Verify associate hours worked have been entered into the Payroll (ADP) system and have been approved by supervisors.

    • Enter new hire information into the HRIS.

    • Maintain associate information in the HRIS.

    • Maintain accurate attendance records for all hourly associates and prepare disciplinary write-ups as necessary.

    • Track and reports department metrics on a daily/weekly/monthly/annual basis.

    • Prepare job postings and maintains the job posting log.

    • Maintain accurate FML and other LOA records.

    • Resolves associate’s attendance record concerns or discrepancies.

    • Resolves associate’s payroll concerns or discrepancies.

    • Maintains the badge system.

    • Assist with associate engagement activities.

    • Assist with New Hire Orientation.

    • Assist with Benefit Administration and Policy rollout.

    • Assist with the monthly newsletter for the plant.

    • File maintenance.

    • Schedules and coordinates candidate interviews.

    • Administrative support to the Human Resources Manager.

     

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

    Reports directly to the Human Resources Manager. 

     

    REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • An Associate’s Degree in Human Resources or Business is desired, or equivalent experience required.
    • Minimum of one (1) year of experience performing the Job Tasks and Responsibilities in a Manufacturing environment.

     

     REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    • Demonstrated experience performing the listed Job Tasks and Responsibilities.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
    • Strong problem resolution skills.
    • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
    • Ability to read and write in English and to perform mathematical calculations.

     

     

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications

    General knowledge of the more complex bindery machines (i.e. fully automatic binding machines (perfect binders), multiple station collators and multiple folding units, either individually or combined) to perform the full range of standard and specialized folds of printed materials.  Thorough knowledge of the set up, operating requirements, procedures, capabilities and limitations of one or more bindery machines to perform the full range of standard and specialized folding, collating and cutting of printed materials to complete a combined finishing product.  Ability to read and interpret written work orders or other job specifications containing bindery requirements which indicate the number and sequence of machine operations required to complete the work and to maintain dimensional accuracy in accordance with instructions provided; independently makes decisions on the type of equipment to be used.  Knowledge of the quality and machining requirements of various coated and uncoated types of paper stock.  Skill in setting up and adjusting machines for finishing operations and to refine such adjustments for the weight, color, machinability and quality of paper stock being used and to prevent machining impressions on the printed materials.  Must be able to calculate distances, clearances, and fits in combining machines.  Skill in using the full range of standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain the functional accuracy and operating conditions of the bindery machines.
