We are looking for process orientated candidates that are quality driven, attentive to detail and prefer a structured working environment to manufacture parts for the automotive industry.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Operates traveling crane to lift, move, and position loads such as machinery, equipment, products, and materials by performing the following duties.

Main Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Successfully complete Crane Operator Training within 30 days

• Successfully complete Hilo Training within 30 days

• Observes load hookup and determines safety of load.

• Inspects crane daily at beginning of shift and completes check sheet.

• Utilize crane to bring dies and steel to machines in a timely manner

• Unload steel trucks

• Prepare and store dies coming and going from Tool Room

• Keep die and coil storage area neat and organized

• Ensures that raw material storage board is used properly.

• Understand and use Raw Material Storage Board correctly

• Know weight capacity of equipment being used and weights of all loads being lifted

• Perform daily crane inspections according to the check sheet

• Ensure FIFO (First in First out) system is used on coils

• Know and understand all crane safety rules

• Communicate and understand needs of machines verbally and in writing

• Participates in continuous improvement activities

• Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.)

• Able and willing to work any shift assigned, weekends and overtime

• Regular and predictable attendance required

• Keeps work areas clean and orderly

• Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor

Required Skills:

• Previous crane experience preferred
• Ability to obtain a Crane License
• Ability to obtain Hilo License
• Must be able to work any shifts assigned and weekends
• Previous experience in automotive manufacturing preferred.
• Have the ability to stand for long periods of time, distinguish customer color systems and create manual records

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.

Required Skills Required Experience

• High School Diploma – College or previous experience preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to work full time – need to work onsite
• Fluent in Spanish is a plus

SHIFT : 8AM TO 5PM (ARIZONA TIME) FLEXIBLE TO COVER ALTERNATE SHIFTS AS REQUIRED
