    Position Summary:

    Rockwell Automation’s Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a distinctive 2-year program that produces world-class leaders. Program participants craft 4 personalized rotations in different US geographies, gaining exposure to the organization, working with leaders, and developing the skills needed to shape the company’s future. You will directly contribute to business-critical projects and product launches, and you will be exposed to leading-edge industrial automation technology that is developed within Rockwell Automation’s major business segments in support of The Connected Enterprise.

    We’re looking for driven, highly technical and innovative upcoming engineering graduates (May or December 2024) with a strong thirst for leadership to join the New Product Engineering & Development career track of LDP.

    This track may be for you if:

    • You have a passion for designing and developing products
    • You love to code, tinker, repair, test, and problem-solve
    • You want to deepen and stretch your technical skills
    • You crave new experiences and challenges; you embrace the unfamiliar
    • You have career aspirations to manage people and/or lead technical projects in the future
    • You are geographically flexible and willing to relocate multiple times over a 2-year duration

    As an associate on the Product Engineering & Development career track of LDP, you will have diverse rotations lasting approximately 6 months in various geographical locations. You will be engaged in a wide range of learning experiences including classroom training (via Rockwell Automation University), mentoring, career planning, networking, and exposure to Rockwell Automation’s global engineering teams and businesses. You will directly contribute to business-critical projects and product launches, and you will be exposed to leading-edge industrial automation technology that is developed within Rockwell Automation’s major business segments in support of The Connected Enterprise. This may include software for automation, programmable automation controllers, intelligent motor control, machine safety, process control, industrial security, cloud computing, industrial Ethernet, motion control, industrial components, variable-frequency drives, and more. You will receive hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation’s products, and see first-hand how customers in different industries use our products and technologies.

    You will craft a personalized rotation and development plan, in partnership with your manager and technical mentors, to prepare you for post-program placement into a vital role on one of our product development teams, where you will contribute your expertise and further your growth as one of Rockwell Automation’s high-potential future leaders. Upon completion of the program, you will continue to have opportunities to engage with and in the program as part of the LDP alumni family.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Completing a Bachelors degree in relevant field in May 2024 or December 2024 and able to start in early January 2025.
    • Minimum GPA of 2.75
    • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future
    • Geographic flexibility and willingness to relocate around the US multiple times.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior internship or co-op experience with Rockwell Automation
    • Demonstrated leadership experience
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Career interest in Team Lead, Engineering Manager and/or senior technical leadership roles
    • Involvement in community service extracurricular or volunteerism
