  • Responsibilities

    Learn how our Customers communicate with their Customers through a variety methods, including print and related services.  This position will be responsible for preparing estimates on a variety of work that is transactional/routine/repeat and occasionally may be unique requiring the comparison of multiple delivery options.  Receive specifications from Customer Service and Sales, clarify any missing information and use pricing tools to generate pricing scenarios that best fit the customer needs.  Review historical quotes on renewals and update pricing to current costs.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Work assignments are typically routine and non-complex in nature and follow established policies and procedures.  Receive instruction in completing routine assignments and may receive more detailed instructions for new or more complex assignments. Routine work will be reviewed through spot checking or occasionally as an end product; new or more complex assignments are reviewed as each task is completed. Ability to determine how work is completed within parameters of following established processes and procedures.

    • Learn print industry and platform terms and information
    • Work with Estimator 3/Supervisor to learn specific equipment and options
    • Receive job specification from customer service or Sales to ensure that the information needed to build an estimate has been provided. Contact Sales to gather missing/incomplete information required to price a job.
    • Enter specifications in to pricing systems/software to build pricing scenarios. Make selections for manufacturing equipment groups  and locations to best match the customers delivery requirements and offer the best price option.
    • May review historical estimates to determine the new estimate. May make alterations to scenarios to offer customer multiple options.  
    • May work with manufacturing operations on new or unique opportunities to ensure projects can be produced in house. May engage Sourcing on work that requires outside vendors to produce and establish cost basis.
    • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Must have general knowledge of technology to include computers and software programs such as MS Office or MAC word processing, spreadsheets or other programs related to the print manufacturing process or administrative support.  Must be familiar with applicable skills and procedures required to perform the duties listed in the job.  Must have good oral and written communication skills sufficient to provide routine information, answer inquiries and/or refer calls. 

    Requires solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to solve problems related to duties of the job.
