Industrial Engineer Intern (268221) Tracking Code 268221 Job Description Industrial Engineer Intern Job Description: Develops new manufacturing processes Assists in the purchases of capital equipment for tooling and gauging. Performs technical writing activities whenever necessary. Communicates with both internal and external customers. Monitors the acceptance testing activities and progress for new process and equip. Performs operator training for new processes and equipment Installs and moves new and existing machinery. Assists team members with their responsibilities whenever necessary. Completes project write up and executive summary of needed equipment. Oversees projects from requisition stage throughout completion (machine acceptance-PPAP) Performs tooling selection, machine upgrades, retrofits, and feeds/speeds activities. Troubleshoot any new equipment until running smoothly whenever necessary. Performs capability studies on new fixtures. Communicates all information regarding process and product changes to all levels within the organization. Inspects tooling and gauging. Performs process failure mode analyses for manufacturing. Generates process flow, PFMEAs, routings, tool estimates and capital estimates for new product estimates. Assists with Manufacturing Engineering Launch activities Education and Required Skills: B. S. Degree in Engineering or related Technical field in progress Strong mechanical aptitude with manufacturing processes experience 1-2 years of prior experience preferred Experience with MOST Experience with Assembly Experience working with computers preferred Additional Skills: Verbal and written communication skills Self-Motivated, Demonstrated Initiative, Leadership, Tenacity Physical strength to lift and maneuver heavy parts Physical agility to reach and climb Job Location Hammond, Indiana, United States Position Type Intern
