     THE ROLE:

    The role will require for the accountant to exercise independent judgment by ensuring the integrity of client funds are accounted for in accordance to General Accounting Principles (GAAP). It also requires for the incumbent to interpret process flows for high volume of transactions. In addition, it requires for the incumbent to be organized, extremely detail oriented, and effectively communicate with operation teams. We are an energetic company and are looking for a passionate individual to join our organization, revitalize our record keeping, and bring more organization to our day to day financials.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prepare daily and monthly reconciliations; Identify the nature / source of reconciling items; work with other departments and other team members to provide solutions as to how to resolve outstanding items; and follow up on outstanding items to ensure they are resolved timely.
    • Complete daily audits of client funds liability.
    • Prepare consolidated financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and provide narrative disclosures to reconciling items as needed.
    • Prepare routine or non-routine financial-related reports; verify the accuracy of data processing for accounting information.
    • Identify, research, and provide solutions related to variance between general ledger and sub-ledger.
    • Review overdue accounts, funds due to / from, and follow up on resolutions.
    • Request disbursement and or collections of client funds as need to for balancing purposes.
    • Assist with organizing and reviewing the overall internal audit process of client funds transactions.
    • Update / implement accounting procedures by analyzing current processes and recommend ways to improve efficiency of processes and systems (computer and program driven functions).

     

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
    • 5+ years of accounting experience required.
    • Strong balancing and reconciliation skills of bank accounts, general ledger and sub ledgers, required.
    • Advance Excel and other Microsoft Skills, required.
    • Knowledge of accounting softwares.
    • Knowledge of Mastertax Software preferred.
