    Eagle Ottawa, as part of Lear Corporation, is one of the world’s leading leather producers for the automotive industry. The company’s European factory is based in Szolnok, Hungary, roughly 100 km from the country's capital, Budapest.  The Szolnok factory has been expanding rapidly in recent years, now employing over 2,000 team members and is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager. That person would report to the Operations Director and lead an experienced purchasing and spare part warehouse team.

    [Seating] MAIN TASKS:

    • Responsible for the leadership and development of purchasing and spare part warehouse staff
    • Maximize the efficiency of the procurement team and simplify processes while maintaining appropriate checks, approvals, and controls
    • Manage supplier performance ratings
    • Optimize supplier relationships, reduce total costs, and ensure consistent supply of quality goods and services
    • Reporting of procurement measurables and drive improvement activities
    • As member of global purchasing team, track and consolidate regional data for strategic spend and save reporting.
    • Work with Operations Director and peers to identify cost savings projects
    • Provide data for annual budget and quarterly forecasts

    Required Skills

    MAIN EXPECTATIONS:

    • University/college degree in supply chain management, procurement, or business
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Purchasing and / or Production environment (preferred at automotive supplier)
    • Fluent English knowledge (capable for written and verbal communication)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Ability to lead and develop high performance team
    • Management experience desired 3 to 5 years
