    POSITION OVERVIEW

     

     

    As Leader of Lear’s European Health, Safety, and Environmental organization you will be responsible for overseeing all HSE topics across 22 countries and over 90 locations within the region. You will drive to support HSE continual improvement, adherence to Lear standards and best practices as well as legal compliance.

    Reporting directly the companies Global Vice President for HSE, you will oversee a team of Regional HSE Managers and Specialists you will provide leadership for the overall HSE program serving as a role model and mentor with respect to both behaviors and outcomes. Additionally you will actively participate as a member of Lear’s Global HSE leadership team, engaging in global projects and harmonization efforts to drive cultural improvement and risk reduction.

     

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE (BUT MAY NOT BE LIMITED TO)

     

     

    • Travel to Lear manufacturing and testing locations to confirm Best Industry Practices are in place
    • Providing guidance on program feasibility and implementation of safety and environmental directives
    • Partnering with Operations to ensure their needs are coordinated with environmental and safety requirements
    • Analyze and report on regional plant HSE performance whilst tracking against plant specific improvements plans
    • Establish relationships with regional governmental agencies as required interacting and negotiating on behalf of Lear

     

    Required Skills

    TO BE A SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE YOU MUST HAVE:

     

    • Minimum 10 years’ HSE experience, with 5 years minimally in a multi-plant leadership role
    • Strong Background with Automotive Industry Requirements
    • Experience and ability to travel
    • Fluency in English language both written and spoken
    • Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced Degree highly preferred
