    The Partner Services Manager will receive a generous total compensation package. Bonuses are awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance.     As a Partner Services Manager at Latham, you will be responsible for the partners who are the owners of the law firm. You are responsible for the services relating to partners joining the firm and departing from the firm. Further, you will be supporting the Global Tax and Partner Relations Director with research, analysis, organization of data, and presenting findings to senior management. You will interact with other staff employees, partners, retired partners, external actuaries, and other service providers supporting the partner programs, while accomplishing these and other critical functions:

     

    • Adopting to the customer-first culture by providing the partners with white-glove service, and highly motivated to meet the needs responsive to their questions
    • Reviewing, improving, and overseeing both the new and promoted partner onboarding process and the partner departure process; preparing the relevant partner memoranda and cash flow analysis; coordinating with various departments to ensure a timely, professional, and accurate delivery of materials
    • Working closely with the Directors of Tax and Partner Services; driving change, innovating, and enhancing the overall processes and services provided to the partners including communication, presentation of information, analysis, and the onboarding and departure process
    • Coordinating meetings with new and departing partners; tracking documents provided to and received from partners; establishing a timeline for a follow-up with new partners and scheduling the partner’s meetings with the Global Benefits & Well-Being, Global Retirement, Global Tax, and Accounting & Finance departments
    • Establishing a structure for archiving information and ensuring that the partner folders containing the respective information is updated
    • Preparing the presentation of tax reserves and cash flow analysis for departing partners; Coordinating the collection of the tax reserves and any other deductions; communicating with partners to update them of any changes to the original calculation or timing of the deductions; tracking the deductions made, amounts actually due, and potential refunds
    • Working with the firm’s actuary to prepare complex analyses to identify retention, promotion, and attrition trends for the non-qualified partner retirement program; using results to estimate future expenses and liabilities with respect to this program
    • Managing a variety of requests by partners for information and analysis; viewing all aspects that could relate to the partner’s request and ensuring the information prepared is comprehensive and inclusive of all aspects relating to the Global Benefits & Well-Being, Global Retirement, Global Tax, and Accounting & Finance departments
    • Reacting professionally to any difficult situation by striving to solve the immediate customer needs, and then reviewing the process to determine if any changes need to be made to avoid a similar issue in the future
    • Collaborating with the Global Tax Department, the Global Benefits Well-Being Department, and the Global Retirement Department to determine whether the partner’s overall service level and experience may be improved
    •  Regularly reviewing partner information and status of onboarding/off-boarding and alerting senior management regarding potential updates and changes; working closely with other departments 
    • Coordinating and tracking the receipt of the annual Partner Tax Organizer and following-up with partners as needed; managing the preparation and tracking of mass partner communications
    • Creating management control reports and gathering data required for the reports from various sources including internal and vendors systems
    • Obtaining, developing, and organizing data to facilitate effective analyses; summarizing large volumes of data in executive summary schedules or reports; analyzing department needs and developing reporting tools to address those needs
    • Preparing materials for pre-retirement and retiree meetings as needed
    • Maintaining and enhancing the partner intranet site for updated news, announcements, plan limits, and other communications
    • Completing special projects on various issues when needed

     

    As a Partner Services Manager, you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude. The successful Manager must have excellent Microsoft  Excel skills, including the creation of macros, pivot tables, and spreadsheets used in analyzing large volumes of data including the development of dynamic spreadsheet applications. The ideal Manager must display the ability to review vast amounts of financial data from different sources, and extract meaningful conclusions in a timely manner. The successful candidate must display excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with emphasis on attention to detail and quality assurance. The Manager should be a self-starter who wants to proactively define a new role, and is ready to be a hands-on manager who performs the work themselves.

     

    A Bachelor’s degree is required. Concentration in an analytical area of study (Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Mathematics) is highly desired. A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience with financial analysis and statistical analysis is desired. Knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations is desired.
