    Mechanical Engineering Intern Location US-NC-Concord # Positions 1 Category Engineering Position Description At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Team in Concord, NC. Working with the engineering team, this position will design components for equipment, assist in troubleshooting existing automation, develop documentation packages and provide training for process technicians and floor personnel. What Will You Do? Use Solidworks to design components for various projects to be built by our in house tool shop. Design, assemble and install new EOATs for multiple robotic part removal applications. Trouble shoot automated screw feeding systems and implement improvements. Design and assemble new buffer tables for automated molding cells. Fabricate various fixtures and other items for the manufacturing floor. Participate in cross-functional Kaizan improvement teams. Performs other similar and related duties as required. Qualifications Required Skills EDUCATION: Pursuing BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology EXPERIENCE: Related course work SKILLS/KNOWELDGE/ABILITIES: Must have experience in Solidworks. Must have good mechanical skills. Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities. Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to efficiently summarize information in an effective manner. Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail. Ability to use internet and web based resources efficiently and effectively.
