As the TRANSPORTATION SCHEDULER with LIBERTY DIVERSIFIED INTERNATIONAL, you will be responsible for the planning, scheduling and cost-effective coordination of shipments, both inbound and outbound, to meet customer pick-up and delivery requirements.

This full-time position reports directly to the FLEET MANAGER and is located at LDI’s headquarters in New Hope, Minnesota.

Required Skills

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate inbound and outbound truck load shipments
• Assign workloads to contract partners through TMW transportation software
• Negotiate rates with external customers and brokers
• Provide timely and accurate customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
• Communicate and interact daily with a diverse group of vendor partners
• Participate in the analysis and review of transportation operating performance ensuring profitability targets are met
• Ensure drivers meet all DOT regulations, compliance and company policies
• Create efficient scheduling and routing solutions throughout the transportation network

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of transportation planning or dispatch experience
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations
• Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to customer service and communication throughout the organization
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Prior experience utilizing transportation software (Innovative by TMW and Peoplenet) and operating software (JD Edwards) preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office business software – Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook
