As the PAYROLL SPECIALIST with LIBERTY DIVERSIFIED INTERNATIONAL, you will be responsible for processing payroll for all corporate divisions, employee expense reimbursements, the safekeeping of payroll and financial records and documents, and reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts. 

This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is located at LDI’s headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Full-time or part-time option available for this role. Part-time hours required Mon-Wed or Fri, Mon, and Tues.

Required Skills

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

• Comply with payroll reporting, procedures, and regulatory requirements 
• Comply with various visa withholding statuses and various state limits and laws when processing final payments
• Serve as a business analyst for payroll system maintenance, dashboard analytics, changes and upgrades
• Review, analyze, and process payroll and make recommendations for process improvements
• Quarterly reconciling of W-2's, analyzing error reports and tax verification letters
• Assist with integration of employees through mergers and acquisitions 
• Analyze calendar 401k deferral and fiscal 401k match and assist with the annual 401k audit
• Process vendor changes requests daily, analyze 1099 receipts quarterly, and consolidate annually and file 1099's with IRS

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2 Year Degree; Bachelors Degree Preferred
• 3+ Years of Payroll Processing Experience
• CPP Certification Preferred 
• Project Management Skills 
• Knowledge of Federal, State and applicable local payroll tax laws
• Understanding of internal controls 
• Payroll, time and attendance, and reporting software systems  - ADP experience preferred. 
• Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
• Ability to manage internal, external, and third party vendor relationships
• Strong problem solving and analysis experience
• Ability to multi-task and reallocate priorities regularly
