Our Creativity & Productivity Engineering group is actively looking for talented and motivated Computer Science/Engineering students to work on our next generation software for our productivity peripherals as part of our Co-Op Program. We are seeking an energetic, creative, self-motivated engineer with positive attitude to help us build the platform of the future that connects our devices to the world beyond desktops. Under the supervision of our system architect, you will be helping us engineer an automation Platform-As-A-Service technology that helps our customers create powerful workflows that integrates external apps, third-party APIs, and cloud services to help boost their productivity. Your Contribution * You will evaluate current Integration PaaS landscape and other existing third-party solutions to propose automation platform that integrates external services with our software. You will present your findings to management. * You will work closely with the product manager and design teams in order to influence the vision of the project and bring it to reality by developing prototypes. * You will investigate and evaluate existing new, uncertain and difficult issues that might affect the product development. * Propose new solutions and challenge assumptions during the whole internship period. * Implement agreed upon proposals in Python/Ruby/Scala/Node.js and/or Objective C/C#/Javascript demonstrating your prototype to stakeholders. Required Skill Sets * Pursuing MS in Computer Science or equivalent technical field * Strong software design & development expertise in C++/C#/Python/Javascript * Knowledge of cloud-based technologies, full-stack development and services (PaaS, AWS, IFTTT, etc.) * Familiar with web technologies and RESTful APIs * Passion for understanding how things work and exploring new technologies * Must have strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. * Excellent written and verbal skills Nice to Have * Experience developing software that interacts with hardware (Raspberry Pi, Arduino, etc) * Experience utilize 3rd party APIs and cloud services Small Company.
