Qualifications
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE
- 1 year related mechanical experience.
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURES
- Powered Industrial Truck Certification
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Proficient in performing production equipment preventive maintenance.
- Able to diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions.
- Able to read and understand schematics/blueprints.
- Must demonstrate good time management skills. Plans and organizes daily work flow.
- Ability to retain knowledge of procedures and processes and understand complex instructions and multi-step procedures.
- Willingness to attend training classes to learn or enhance skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Ability to organize work, people, and materials.
- Intermediate written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports.
- Service-oriented personality.
- Ability to work independently on nights and weekend shifts.
- Ability to work a schedule with call-in and overtime duties
- Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language preferred.
EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE UTILIZED
- Basic Computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Work, Outlook, and internet software.
COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTS
- Informs leaders and other technicians of pertinent information and communicates to Plant personnel, leadership, and other departments, as necessary.
- Communicates with equipment operators to determine problems with equipment before breakdown and to determine if equipment adjustments or repairs are necessary
DECISION MAKING
Often must make decisions in conjunction with department supervisors to shut down equipment, schedule repairs, request for service.

Additional Information
The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $18.50 - $19.50/ hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
