Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1+ year of relevant working experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required
- Must have the ability to read and interpret job specifications and identifying the correct parts for fulfilling customer orders.
- Must have very good oral and written communication skills sufficient to explain departmental procedures and/or methods when completing assignments.
- Basic knowledge of routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment and general warehouse procedures.
- Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a higher-level employee.
- Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
- Skill in assembling standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.
- Basic skill in the use of shrink-wrap or strapping equipment’s, manual dollies, pallet jacks, carts or hand trucks and hand tools used in material handling tasks such as strapping and stretch wrapping tools and equipment, tape fasteners, metal band sheers and related equipment.
- Basic arithmetic to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Must be willing to flex schedule to meet the needs of production, including working overtime or a different shift, if needed.
- Must be able to use a ladder to pick items or to retrieve boxes or materials.
Additional Information
12 hour C Shift - Sat-Mon, 5AM-5PM
Shift Differential: $1.75 per hour.
The salary for this role at the noted RRD location is $14.94/ hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
